LEADERS & PIONEERS IN THE INDUSTRY

RK. Heliski, originally named Radium Hot Springs Glacier Skiing was founded in 1970 by Roger Keith (RK) Madson and was incorporated in the spring of 1972. The original operation utilized a short take-off and landing aircraft based from the airstrip in Radium B.C.

RK. Heliski operated out of Radium utilizing helicopters for transportation until 1979. RK. then moved operations adjacent to World Class Canadian Panorama Mountain Resort, where it operated until 1987. In 1988 construction was completed for the “Heli Plex”, the final home of RK. Heliski.
As our legs are still sore, our knees still crack, and our lower backs still hurt from 2 days of the most amazing skiing we have ever had...

I just wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of the RK team members that made it all happen. From the booking process, to helping with the food/transportation all the way to the amazing guides (Graham and Andy) you guys have no idea the memories you were able to create for myself... but more importantly for all the people that I love and hold dear.

We will be talking about this trip for the rest of our lives! Or at least until RK tops it next year!

But truly on behalf of myself and my entire crew that I was blessed to bring north... I genuinely can't thank you guys enough.

I would like to thank everyone at RK Heliski for an amazing 2 days of skiing. On our 14th year in a row of skiing with RK we appreciate everyone’s ability to mix safety, professionalism, and extreme fun together in a seamless way. Claire and company up front handling all of our details for check in, equipment requests and financials. Mike and team for keeping us well fed and “watered.” The Heli Squad keeping us in the air and providing amazing rides and views over unreal terrain. The Guiding Crew for doing what they do every year, using their amazing knowledge and wisdom finding the perfect runs with perfect snow as always. (Pink Panther is a must when there’s 40cm fresh). The guides are such a high caliber at RK that we never doubt our safety given the always present acceptable risk in doing what we love! And last but not least Graham running a well oiled machine that is RK. The staff and group attitude that Graham has instilled make the whole experience unforgettable every year. We feel like we are visiting old friends and family and not just some people that work together. Already looking forward to next year.
All the best,
Mike W
I skied with you on March 14th and wanted to follow up with an additional thank you note.

We had an amazing experience for my first heli ski day.

I’d like to personally acknowledge our great guide Jason. He did a fantastic job of managing safety while also personally engaging each member of the group. I’ve spent the last ten years working weekends as a local single pitch rock guide, and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to learn for accomplished and knowledgeable guides in various courses and guided experiences.

I really appreciate that Jason was willing to speak with me about the snow pack and avalanche management as well as debrief after the day ended.

Thank you Jason and thank you RK heli, it was a wonderful experience and I hope you come back again in the future.
